Aurora Cannabis Triple Top Fails

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (ACB), a Canadian-based global medical cannabis company, put in three successive tops (triple top) before it succumbed to a prolonged price downside as shown in the price chart below.

The 3D chart of the 6,903 buy and sell percent returns based on 118 monthly closes from August 29, 2014 to May 24, 2024 shows 2,304 (33.38%) profitable returns (green areas) and 4,599 (66.62%) unprofitable returns (red areas) The ratio of unprofitable to profitable to returns was 1.996.

The largest single unprofitable return was a loss of 99.73% for the buy on September 28, 2018 at $1,152 and the sell on February 29, 2024 at $3.14.

In addition, a total of 3,719 buy and sell returns were losses of 50 percent or more. And 1,872 buy and sell returns were losses of 90 percent or more.
