Ethanol Stocks

Ethanol, an additive to gasoline, is being promoted to help lower America's dependence on foreign oil. Currently, ethanol is produced from corn so many agricultural products companies may benefit from the increased demand for ethanol.

The following table lists four stocks that produce ethanol and a sampling of companies that produce products related to growing corn including fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides and hybrid seeds.

The ethanol producer stocks are quite volatile so be sure to buy them on the price upside.
