| Five exchange-traded funds market themselves as
including stocks that promote alternative energy and a greener planet.
These ETFS may hold companies whose business includes solar, wind,
ethanol, fuel cells and other alternative energy sources. But all
of the so-called alternative energy, clean or green fund ETFs include
many other companies that are not directly related to alternative
energy or products that provide for a greener environment.
Before you invest in any of these funds, be sure to check its holdings
to ensure that they fulfill your idea of a green portfolio.
