Negotiate Your Mutual Fund Sales Charges
Some mutual funds charge investors to buy their funds. These front-end
charges are called loads and can exceed 5 percent which adds up. For a
$100,000 purchase a 5 percent load amounts to $5,000. So before you purchase
a load fund, be sure to ask for a discount on the load charge. Most fund
companies will give you discount based on the amount of money you plan
to spend. The more you spend the bigger the discount.
