U.S. Bancorp (USB),
a large commercial bank, is down from its all-time high, but when
the stock stabilizes, consider it for a long-term dividend reinvestment
portfolio. USB has a long history of raising its dividend. From
1997 through 2007 it raised its annual dividend from $0.49 to $1.60.
Investors will find USB's 5.20 percent dividend yield (annual dividend
divided by price) attractive.
