Shanghai Composite Index Closes Above 4,000

The Shanghai Composite Index (^SSEC) closed on May 9, 2007 at 4,013.09, a 239.82 percent increase since January 3, 2006. How much higher can Chinese stocks go? No one knows for sure, but these stocks are on the third major stage of their multi-year upside. Stocks often make three distinct upside moves before they peak.

Chinese stocks are very speculative so be careful with them.
