Russia Stocks Are On the UpsideInvesting in Russia is possible for U.S. investors through managed mutual funds and a few individual stocks listed on U.S. stock exchanges. Managed mutual funds for Russian stocks include: ING Russia Fund (LETRX), Third Millennium Russia Fund (TMRFX) and Templeton Russia and East Europe Fund (FTRFX). Be advised that these funds carry sales charges as well as high annual fees. For high-worth investors $100,000 will get you started buying shares of the Hermitage Fund, the largest Russia-dedicated stock fund. East Capital offers several funds that hold Russia stocks. By June 30, 2007 the Market Vectors-Russia ETF (RSX) will be the first Russia exchange-traded fund (ETF) listed in the United States. RSX Will track 30 publicly-traded companies based in Russia. Russian stocks on the RTS Stock Exchange have been on the upside since 1999.
