Pfizer's Dividend Yield Is Appealing

Pfizer (PFE), the world's largest pharmaceutical company, increased its latest quarterly dividend to $0.29, the 39th consecutive year of quarterly dividend increases. With the closing price of $26.07 on December 21, 2006, the current dividend yield is 4.45 percent.

Pfizer is a volatile stock but its sound dividend makes it a candidate for a long-term dividend reinvestment portfolio.
