Intel Raises DividendIntel (INTC), the large semiconductor company, announced on November 10, 2005 an increase in its quarterly dividend from $0.08 to $0.10 and plans to repurchase $25 billion in common shares. INTC's stock price is meandering in the twenty dollar range and it will not move to the upside until INTC reports improved earnings. The dividend increase and stock buyback, while beneficial to shareholders, will not cause the stock to move to the upside.
