General Electric Keeps Increasing Dividends
General Electric (GE)
will pay a $0.25 quarterly dividend to its shareholders on January 25,
2006. GE has raised its dividends for 30 consecutive years and has paid
a quarterly dividend for over one hundred years.
On a split-adjusted basis the quarterly dividend has increased 4698.46%
($0.00521 to $0.25) from March 1962 to December 2005. Long-term investors
who reinvested dividends have profited from GE's ever increasing dividends.
