General Electric Keeps Increasing Dividends

General Electric (GE) will pay a $0.25 quarterly dividend to its shareholders on January 25, 2006. GE has raised its dividends for 30 consecutive years and has paid a quarterly dividend for over one hundred years.

On a split-adjusted basis the quarterly dividend has increased 4698.46% ($0.00521 to $0.25) from March 1962 to December 2005. Long-term investors who reinvested dividends have profited from GE's ever increasing dividends.
