Equity Residential Exhibits a Unsustainable UpsideEquity Residential (EQR), a real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns and invests in more than 900 multifamily properties, is trading at an all-time high. The stock's long-term upside price pattern keeps increasing at an increasing rate to form a parabolic shape. The steep phase of the upside is not sustainable so do not buy the stock now. EQR pays an attractive $1.77 (3.5% yield) cash distribution so when the stock corrects in price, it could be a candidate for a long-term dividend investment portfolio.
