Charter Communications - An Investor's NightmareCharter Communications (CHTR), a cable television provider, has not been good to its investors. Three severe downsides have led to large losses and continuing debt looks to hamper a stock price recovery anytime soon. The percent returns charts shows the 239,965 (18.23%) profitable buy and sell combinations in green and the 1,076,288 (81.77%) unprofitable ones in red. The two largest green area are associated with the 2000 and 2003 upsides. The 2003 upside produced the largest percent returns as price rose from less than $1 to over $5. These percent returns appear in bright green on the chart. The sea of red indicates the huge percentage of losing investments. The winners and losers map shows profitable (green) and unprofitable (red) buy and sell combinations without any elevation. The profitable buy and sell combinations produced by the 2000 and 2003 upsides are clearly visible as the green area the upper left hand corner and green area in the middle of the map.
